Portrait Session

Beryl is turning 90 this year and she came to our photo studio to get her portrait taken. She got the standard package which gave her 3 variations. She ordered all the images to be printed in 8 x 10 format so that she could use them as a gift for her son. Though she wasn't fond of having her picture taken, she was happy we could make the process easy for her. She forgot to get her roots touched up for our session so she asked if we could colour her hair in photoshop. It was no problem for us to make it look natural of course!

Anthony was looking to get into acting and modelling and just got signed with an agency. We had the pleasure of taking photos of him in his very first photoshoot. We chose modern casual garments with a bit of bite to them. We tried a variety of poses with different chairs, and later headed outside for a couple shots to add background variety. He was very polite and always minded the clothing whenever he sat on something outside as to not get it dirty. We wish you all the best of luck in the future!

Angelique chose our off white background and wore a bright white top to come off as friendly as possible. We love how much high energy white adds to the photo, but you definitely need to consider the brightness of your clothes on camera. Shirts you thought were white may even appear as cream! Not to worry, every image gets colour adjusted to match what you see in reality, only more polished.

Ganna popped in for a quick and clean headshot that she needed to get done for her new job. We used our signature soft lighting set up which shaded the left side of her face enough to provide definition, and and gently enough to be flattering against the skin. We loved how she wore this sleeveless dress, which showed a modest amount of skin while still remaining formal.

Emma is looking to expand her horizons and was itching to try her hand at acting and modelling. Fresh faced in her junior year of high school, she has the whole world ahead of her no matter what direction she takes. We shot her in this lovely form fitting dress that showed off her curves while still being conservative enough for her to book more sophisticated roles. We wish you luck Emma!

Andrea needed a quick headshot for work, and didn't have time to get her hair professionally styled before the session. She asked us if we were able to do some retouching in photoshop to clean up ththe shape of her curls. We edited the outline naturally so that the distracting fly aways were removed. We gladly accept editing requests, please don't haesitate to ask-you'd be surprised at what's possible!

Aisha started a hair extension company and wanted promotional photos to use for her website and marketing. She brought in her best friends to model for her, which created a comfortable atmosphere while also helping her save on the budget for the shoot. Since she would be marketing her product through instagram, she also requested that we do a short promotional video for her to create more variation in content. Here's a group photo that we did showing all the different coloured options with Aisha looking proud in the middle!

Elias visited our studio to get his photo taken for his company profile picture. From the get-go he brought on set a perfectly natural smile with a gentle, soft expression. The most surprising thing was that he didn't need any time to warm up, from the very first photo he beamed confidence. We were shocked to hear him say he was so nervous! It's amazing how his outside did not reflect his inside, a very useful skill to withstand pressure which I am sure has helped him in his profession.
